Engineering Lead

You lead project teams on the technical and the human side, defend architecture decisions in front of enterprise stakeholders, and stay close enough to the code to be credible.

What this is about

Our projects often run for years and span several teams, on the client side and on ours. As Engineering Lead, you are responsible for one or two of these engagements: technical direction, team leadership, the client relationship. You are the person who explains the architecture decision in the steering meeting and sits in the code review in the afternoon.

What you are responsible for

  • Technical leadership of project teams (typically 3 to 6 people, a mix of alm and client)
  • Architecture decisions, including the uncomfortable ones: replacing legacy systems, make or buy, making sure the result can be handed over
  • The relationship with technical stakeholders at the client, from team leads to the head of IT
  • The growth of the engineers on your team, technically and in client work

What you bring

  • A solid engineering background and several years of experience in technical leadership
  • You can translate between enterprise language and engineering reality, in both directions
  • Experience with long-running client relationships, ideally at a consultancy or agency
  • Business-fluent German, confident English

How we work

Owner-managed since 2019, between Munich and Lake Constance. For us, leadership means responsibility for people and results, not status reports. Direct access to the founders, real room to shape things.
