In daily clinical work every minute counts, and the data sits in many systems. We build apps and AI tools that ease the load of documentation and service, with data protection from the start.
In healthcare, the digital experience before, during and after treatment helps decide whether patients trust you. At the same time, clinical teams lose a great deal of time on documentation pulled from separate systems.
For Buchinger Wilhelmi we built a mobile app and ordering flows. With B. Braun we developed BRAUNi, an AI tool for the surgical report.
We bring engineering and AI experience to environments where reliability and data protection are prerequisites.
A clinic meets its patients digitally in two places: in the app that accompanies their stay, and in the ordering flows for its product range. In the operating room, data comes from separate sources such as the hospital information system (HIS), DICOM, the vital signs monitor and the anesthesia system. Surgeons bring it together by hand for documentation.
At the Healthcare Hackathon Freiburg we built BRAUNi with B. Braun in 48 hours. The AI tool combines surgical data from DICOM, the vital signs monitor, the anesthesia system and endoscopy video, and produces a finished surgical report from it. An hour of documentation after every surgery becomes two minutes of review. We won the hackathon with BRAUNi.
With B. Braun we built the BRAUNi prototype at the Healthcare Hackathon Freiburg. It combines data from DICOM, the vital signs monitor, the anesthesia system and endoscopy video. From that it automatically generates a surgical report, plus AI-identified OPS procedure codes, a pathology request and post-operative instructions. Surgeons check the result in a review instead of writing everything by hand. An hour of documentation after every surgery becomes two minutes of review. We won the hackathon with BRAUNi. More about BRAUNi
BRAUNi shows that they can. The prototype takes in data from the hospital information system, DICOM, endoscopy video, the patient record, surgical planning, the vital signs monitor and the anesthesia report. A synchronized timeline shows the surgery from the perspective of both surgery and anesthesia. Video segments and vital sign curves are linked directly to the surgical steps. Dictation and voice control work on a tablet. Results go back into the HIS or into a PDF export. That way the team works in one interface instead of five systems.
By having one team build both. For the Buchinger Wilhelmi clinic we built the mobile app and the web ordering flows. The app accompanies the stay and the fasting program. Through the ordering flows, the clinic offers its product range, such as fasting food, juice programs and books, from selection to checkout. Brand identity and tone are the same on both platforms.
