No companion on site

The web platform covered a lot, but while events were under way, participants had to look up the agenda, rooms or speakers on their laptop.

Web and app as one product

Extend the web platform and, in parallel, build an iOS app for live information, so both feel like one product rather than two separate worlds.

Mobile app with React and Expo

Shipped for iOS: live information on current events, agenda, rooms and speakers.

Extended web platform

New features in Next.js, TypeScript and Styled-Components, connected to the same content that feeds the app.

Design lead across both platforms

One lead for the mobile components and the cross-platform design, with the same visual language on web and app.

Components back into the web

The React components developed for the app were later integrated into the web platform.

Result

One experience, two platforms.

Haufe Akademie participants get a coherent web and mobile experience with consistent branding. Technically, there is now a foundation in which components built once are reused in several places.
